Planned projects

Secondary school currently being constructed in the village, which will mean that all local orphaned children will be able to access secondary education, and all children within the community will no longer have to walk 30km to the nearest school.

2 classes, a latrine and an office are currently being built, with finance being secured for a laboratory, and space to expand as finance becomes availiable. The school will be called Bwindi Community Vocational Secondary school, with the vision of 'Ensuring that the youth and orphans access quality educational and sustainable life skills for development and self reliance. '

 The theatre which is planned to incorporate a gallery cafe for tourists, providing valuable training and employment opportunities for the older children and providing an income for the orphanage.

 Land recently bought with plans to build a tourist lodge for visitors trekking gorillas in the Impenetrable Rainforest. This will provide training and employment for orphans and the local community and enable the project to become self-sufficient.

Land adjacent to the Orphanage Development Centre. Plans are to build a residential orphanage for the children with AIDS and HIV (currently 25)

This will enable them to receive medical attention, ensure that they are being cared for and supported, and enable them to access education.

 There are plans to hold educational workshops and increase awareness across the Kanungu district,  covering topics  such as HIV, Aids, STD's, STI's and adolescence.

Establish demonstration gardens which will act as models to the community including vegetable and flower gardens as well as income generating poultry and bee keeping projects.
